GDEMU orders are open. If you’re unlucky and miss out – keep in mind there will be another batch coming in 2-3 months.

I might not be able to reply to orders until after the weekend so please be patient. In general expect shipping in 2-4 weeks from now.

EDIT: Orders closed. I have no words. Welp, as I’ve said earlier I am planning something to help me with manufacturing so it should get better in few months.

  1. Hi there!
I’ve just a noob question about Phoebe automatic Frequency Selector. I’ve a Pal model and I’ve planned to play a lot of NTSC games. Should I sold on the 2 left pads (50 hz) or on the 2 right pads? I’m a bit confused…

  2. Hi! Thank you for the reply!
    I’ve just put “auto_region = 6”, “open_time = 1000” and “detect_time = 1000” in the .INI file. I just want to enjoy the 60 hz but as I said I’m a bit confused in the proceed… Sorry for wasting your time…

    • No, I mean what kind of hard mod do you currently have in your console to switch between 50 and 60 Hz?

      • Ah ok! I have nothing at this time. I have planned to lift the #79 pin of the VDP2 chip and then solder it to the Phoebe as you describe in “Phoebe Installation”.

      • In that case pick 50 or 60 and solder that down on ODE – that’ll be the default setting. Then it can be either changed by the ODE or even forced via INI setting if you wish.
Typically you’d match your console region (so 50 for EU/PAL) but that’s not strictly required.

  3. It’s ok! Thank you so much for the explanation and all your good work!

  4. My GDEMU arrived, 5 mins for installation. Works perfectly!

Thanks you so much for making such good products.

  5. Has anyone tried Shenmue 2 with the Gdemu?
I have tried various roms on my Pal Dreamcast, 2 different sd cards, vga and composite connections, but always get glitchy squares on the screen when in game.
It is the only game I am having trouble with.
Any help would be much appreciated.

    • I don’t have any issues with Shenmue 2 so far, but I only booted it up to the title screen.

The game causing me issue is Bangai-O. For whatever reason that game gets all glitchy with blocks all over the screen and the game screen only taking up roughly a quarter of the space on my TV screen. I’m using a beharbros VGA box and am wondering if that game is one of the few that has issues with being in VGA.

      • That is because the game works at 240p, if you try to set the Toro in rgb mode you’ll be able to see at full screen

      • Thanks. Yeah, I figured that was the case. Unfortunately my TV doesn’t recognize 240p via VGA. Oh well.

Can someone tell me about the physical button on the GDEMU? So far I’ve used it to basically boot back into GDMenu from a game. However, I was under the impression that you use this button when wanting to advance to the next disc in a multi disc game. However, if I push the button and it takes me back to the main menu in GDMenu, then if I select disc 2 will it work correctly?

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.

  6. Hello, I would like to Purchase a GDEMU, PHOEBE and a RHEA. Is it possible to keep me informed of their readiness? Thanks

  7. Hi Deunan and everybody, Just received my GDEMU and have been having fun non stop…. Until yesterday, I tried to plug my Fishing controller to port 1 and a Controller w/VMU on port 2 to play Sega Marine Fishing (USA) and I cannot seem to make it work. Have tried connecting the controller on other configurations and cannot make it work.

Do you know if there are known issues with the fishing controller and GDEMU?

    • There should be no issues, unless it’s some obscure game bug that GDEMU triggers. Does your original drive still work? Try it to be sure. I know for a fact that the acceleration sensor in the fishing controller is prone to malfunctions, so hopefully your rod didn’t just die on you 🙂
